Community Guidelines
These guidelines apply to all content you post on DoggoMeal – profile texts, images, posts, comments, dog profiles and messages.
They supplement our terms of use and describe in particular the reporting channel for illegal content under Art. 16 of the Digital Services Act.
Convenience translation. This English version is provided for your convenience only. The German version at doggomeal.de/community-richtlinie is the legally binding one; in case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
1. Your contribution and responsibility
You remain responsible for your content and warrant that you hold the necessary rights to it and do not infringe the rights of third parties.
2. Grant of rights
By posting content, you grant DoggoMeal a non-exclusive, royalty-free right, limited to the period during which the content is provided, to store this content, process it technically, display it within DoggoMeal in accordance with your visibility settings, reproduce it for the purpose of the product function and process it for moderation, abuse prevention, support and data backup.
You can delete your content at any time; technically necessary copies (e.g. backups) are removed within the usual periods.
3. Prohibited content
Prohibited are in particular unlawful, insulting, discriminatory, misleading, violence-glorifying, pornographic, spam-like content, content harmful to minors, and content that is hostile to animals or violates animal welfare, as well as identity deception, copyright infringements and the publication of third parties’ personal data without their consent.
4. Moderation
DoggoMeal may review, restrict, hide or remove content and moderate accounts insofar as this is necessary to protect the platform, other users or animals, or to comply with legal obligations. We will inform you of decisions affecting you, with reasons, insofar as this is required by law.
5. Minimum age
Active participation in the community requires a minimum age of 16 years.
6. Reporting illegal or non-compliant content (Art. 16 DSA)
You can report any post, profile or comment directly in the app using the report function (“Report”). Alternatively, you can reach us at support@doggomeal.de.
Please include the following in your report:
- the exact location of the content (link/screenshot or description),
- an explanation of why the content is illegal or non-compliant,
- your contact details for follow-up questions (except for content involving sexualised violence against minors; you may report such content anonymously).
7. How we handle reports
We review reported content carefully and without arbitrariness and decide on appropriate measures (e.g. removal, restricting visibility, warning or suspension).
If content is removed or restricted as a result of a report, we inform the affected person – where provided for – of the main reasons for the decision. A separate acknowledgement of receipt for every individual report is not mandatory.
