General Terms and Conditions of Use

DoggoMeal is a digital service around dog nutrition, recipes, videos, Doggopedia, community and dog profiles.

These terms apply to the use of all digital surfaces offered by DoggoMeal, unless supplementary platform terms or mandatory statutory provisions take precedence in the individual case.

A personal DoggoMeal account is required for essential features. You are responsible for ensuring that your details are accurate, up to date and complete.

You must be at least 16 years old to use DoggoMeal and to purchase paid offers. If the minimum age for valid consent under data protection law is higher in your country, that higher age applies. Minors require the consent of their legal guardians.

You must protect your login credentials carefully and keep access to your account within your area of responsibility. Please inform us immediately if you suspect misuse or unauthorised access.

DoggoMeal offers in particular personalised recipes, nutrition and knowledge content, community features, dog profiles, reminders and – depending on the plan – Premium content and additional features.

The specific range of features may vary depending on the platform, country, plan, technical rollout and current state of the product.

Individual DoggoMeal features are subject to a charge. Prices, billing intervals, renewals and cancellation terms are shown to you before you purchase the respective offer.

Subscriptions are currently purchased and managed in particular through the Apple App Store and Google Play. The terms of the respective platform additionally apply to payment processing, renewal, cancellation, refunds and the technical purchase confirmation.

Premium subscriptions renew automatically for the selected term unless they are cancelled before the end of the current period via the subscription management of the respective platform. The billing period, price and renewal date are shown to you before purchase and in your store subscription management; refunds are governed by the terms of the respective platform.

Withdrawal and refunds: as Premium subscriptions are currently purchased exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the respective platform is your contractual partner for the purchase; any right of withdrawal and refunds are governed by its terms. Should DoggoMeal offer paid services directly in the future, we will provide you with the legally required information on the right of withdrawal separately before the contract is concluded.

Insofar as DoggoMeal offers individual paid services directly on the web in the future, the relevant information on price, term, cancellation and, where applicable, withdrawal will be shown to you separately before the contract is concluded.

The free user relationship generally runs for an indefinite period and ends when you delete your account or we terminate the user relationship in accordance with these terms.

You can cancel a subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play at any time via the subscription management of the respective platform; deleting your DoggoMeal account does not automatically end such a subscription. Insofar as DoggoMeal offers subscriptions directly on the web in the future, we will provide an easily accessible cancellation option (“cancel contracts here”) in accordance with Section 312k of the German Civil Code (BGB).

We may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts or individual features for good cause, in particular in the event of misuse, serious breaches of duty, legal violations or security risks.

If you publish or upload content on DoggoMeal – for example profile texts, images, posts, comments or messages – you remain responsible for that content.

Insofar as you post content on DoggoMeal, you grant us the non-exclusive rights to store this content, process it technically, display it within DoggoMeal, reproduce it for the product function and process it to the extent necessary for moderation, abuse prevention, support and data backup.

Public or community-wide shared content may be visible to other DoggoMeal users in accordance with your visibility settings.

DoggoMeal may only be used within the scope of the intended features. In particular, technical attacks, scraping, circumvention of protective mechanisms, abusive bulk actions, identity deception and use for the distribution of unlawful content are not permitted.

DoggoMeal provides information, experience, recipe ideas and guidance around dog nutrition.

This content does not replace an individual veterinary diagnosis, treatment or therapy. In the case of illnesses, allergies, intolerances or other health-related particularities, you should seek veterinary advice.

DoggoMeal continuously develops the platform further. Features, content, designs, prices, integrations and technical processes may be adjusted, extended, restricted or changed.

We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted accessibility at all times. Maintenance, security measures, technical faults or dependencies on third-party providers may lead to temporary restrictions.

We are liable without limitation in cases of intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and in other cases of mandatory statutory liability.

In the event of a slightly negligent breach of material contractual obligations, we are liable only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, insofar as mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence do not conflict with this.

For consumers, the statutory places of jurisdiction apply. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Kassel, Germany, insofar as legally permissible.

We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Section 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act, VSBG).
